About

Devi Majeske is a Brooklyn-based sitarist, singer, and songwriter. She won the Van Lier Fellowship in Music Performance in 2025 and is the current artist in residence at Forgotten Futures where she is currently recording her debut album. A seasoned artist, Devi has performed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Barclays Center, and for the Indo-American Arts Council. She has also toured as a vocalist with Grammy-winning artist Chandrika Tandon.

Devi writes songs under Air Devi, a project that originated in the underground scene in Philadelphia while she was an undergraduate studying psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. A genre-defying artist, Devi is exploring how sitar and Hindustani vocal ornamentation can be woven into contemporary songwriting with a punk ethos.
